Troy is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. He is world-renowned for his mastery of The Uilleann pipes and is a member of the bands Nightwish and AURI.  He was a co-founding member of the Folk/Punk band 'The Bad Shepherds' with his friend Adrian Edmondson, and was a long-time member of the progressive rock band 'Iona'. He can be heard on various movie soundtracks such as Robin Hood (Ridley Scott, 2010) Ironclad, His Dark Materials and Dungeons & Dragons. He has worked and recorded with many other artists such as Maddy Prior (co-producer of 4 albums) Barbara Dickson (producer of 6 albums), Midge Ure, Maire Brennan (Clannad), Steve Hackett, Roy Harper, Alan Stivell, Lesley Garrett, Status Quo, Del Amitri, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, The Enid, Mostly Autumn and many, many more.
